Established in 1961 the Scarborough Camera Club embraces many forms of photography, including color and monochrome slides and prints, and keeping up with advances in photographic technology we actively incorporate digital imaging, as well as audio visual presentations in our competitions and invited presentations.

You don’t need to have “state of the art” equipment to be an active member. While every encouragement is extended for you to show your work at both informal evenings and in competitions, you’re more than welcome to come along and enjoy the best images from Club members and invited speakers.

In addition to internal workshops organized and presented by club members to help others improve their knowledge and skills, we also invite a diverse and varied range of speakers every year. These talks and presentations embrace everything from Landscapes through Natural History, Portraiture etcetera, and are balanced with the exhibition of members images entered in the clubs monthly category, and outings based competitions. In all cases, the evenings are full of informed and helpful comments to help improve and stimulate your photographic skills, regardless of current ability. The clubs Program contains full details.

In addition to our meeting , and workshop schedule we also endeavor to arrange a number of interesting and informal photo shoots throughout the year at a variety of different locations for members. These are noted in our planned Outings Schedule

Excluding those weeks set aside for the judging of members submissions, and holiday periods like Christmas, New Years and Spring break we meet every Tuesday evening from early September through mid May, at David and Mary Thompson Collegiate Room 112 . 2740 Lawrence Avenue East ( Just east of Brimley Road ) Scarborough, Ontario Canada .
