Rigid.PRO OMNIA– Universal Rig

OMNIA

The Rigid.PRO OMNIA is claimed to be the next evolution of the cineback-style camera rig. Essentially, OMNIA is a universal cineback for mirrorless hybrids. In Latin, OMNIA translates to “all things” or “everything”.

According to the company, they have been listening to feedback, and after two years of development, they came up with OMNIA.

OMNIA features:

  • Quick Release Attachment
  • Hot Shoe Access
  • Limitless Mounting Options
  • Four D-tap Outlets
  • LCD Voltage Display
  • V-Mount Battery Mount
  • Adjustable Position

OMNIA is not a 3D printed product; it is machine-made from a solid billet of aerospace-grade aluminium before it is treated and anodized.

The quick release system is compatible with the Arca-Swiss standard, so you can easily remove the OMNIA and attach your camera to other compatible mounts.

For those with flip-out screens, the supplied universal screen protector provides a neat little recess for screens of all sizes. Handy up/down adjustment allows you to dial in the best position.

One of the drawbacks of the original Cineback-style design was that it only worked with fully articulating camera screens. With OMNIA, that is no longer a problem as the quick-release base plate allows you to slide the camera forward to access the screen if necessary. This makes it a good solution for Blackmagic and Sigma camera owners.

The OMNIA weighs 672g / 23.7 oz.
