DIY Photography has launched its new Uni LensCap, which they are touting as a next-generation universal lens cover. As the name suggests, it is a universal lens cap that can be used on a large array of lenses.
The Uni LensCap is claimed to offer a snug, tear-resistant fit and shock-absorbing protection. It has been engineered to fit 99% of DSLR and mirrorless lenses.
Key features
- Universal fit for 60–90mm lenses
- Flat-top design with shock-deflecting Impact Guard Ridge
- Reinforced retention ring for long-term grip and stretch-resistance
- Waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, and washable
- Bold blue color for visibility in dark environments

According to DIY Photography, the Uni LensCap performs best on lens barrels measuring 60–90mm in diameter. It features a precision-molded flat top that is surrounded by an Impact Guard Ridge. The Impact Guard Ridge is a low-profile, ribbed structure that diffuses shock and shields the lens face from direct impact.
It also has a reinforced retention ring that is claimed to ensure a secure fit, as well as prevent stretching or slipping, regardless of how often it’s used.

The Uni LensCap features a blue finish, with the goal of making it easy to find even in dark or cluttered kits. Its stretch-fit design hugs lenses, hoods, and filters alike, shielding them from water, dirt, and shock without ever cracking or slipping.
Pricing & Avalability

The Uni LensCap comes in a 2-pack and is now available for $34.99 USD.
