The 8″ and 12″ long 15mm Carbon Fiber Rods from SmallRig offer a lightweight carbon fiber design. They feature a 0.08″ wall thickness that SmallRig claims is reinforced to resist deformation.
It would be interesting to see how robust these rods are. I have tried carbon fiber rods in the past and found that they flexed too much, especially when using motors.
