The Atomos Ninja TX is now shipping, and a new firmware update is scheduled for release soon, adding the much-requested camera control feature.
Atomos has also released the new Shinobi 7 RX ($799 USD) that includes a built-in RX (receiver). This all makes sense now, why Atomos earlier this year at NAB 2025 introduced the Atomos TX RX wireless system. The system supports up to four monitors simultaneously.

The Shinobi 7 RX HDMI/SDI HDR Monitor is a 7″ high-bright HDR monitor that provides the ability to view 4K footage remotely via Wi-Fi while also providing remote focus and camera control in an Atomos TX/RX environment or via wired USB/serial.
The Shinobi 7 RX features a 7″ IPS LCD 1920 x 1080 screen that is illuminated by a bright 2200 cd/m² LED backlight, making it possible to view in daylight without requiring a hood. Plus, the screen is also color calibrated from the factory to ensure accurate image representation.

The Shinobi 7 RX provides built-in Wi-Fi to pair with an Atomos TX device, and it can even view external RTSP H.264 streams with low-latency wireless under 60ms from up to 984′ away.
This allows your crew to move elements on the set freely without losing visual connection.

Touch to FocusWhile connected to a compatible camera, you can simply tap the Shinobi 7 RX touchscreen for the camera to automatically focus on your point of interest.
Touch to focus takes advantage of camera focus modes such as focus tracking for effortless control.

The back of the monitor features dual NP-F/L-series battery slots for longer shoot durations, and it can also accept optional battery eliminators/dummy batteries. You can also power the monitor via a USB-C PD input via an optional adapter, external battery, or power bank.
In addition to providing power, the USB-C port can provide camera control for supported cameras. The USB-C port can also be used with external calibrators without the need for a computer.

Input/output embedded audio via HDMI and SDI, and output audio using the 3.5mm headphone port for convenient audio monitoring. There’s also a 3.5mm stereo line audio input to monitor external sound.

The monitor runs the latest AtomOS firmware that features a variety of onscreen analysis tools such as multi-scope views, exposure, framing, focus assist, waveform, RGB parade, and histogram tools.
An SD card slot allows you to load custom 3D LUTs and apply them to both input and output signals, and they can be used with the built-in image tools for exposure control.

Camera ControlThe Shinobi 7 RX supports intuitive camera control for Canon, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, Sony (via USB-C), and Z CAM E2 (via optional serial cable). Its intuitive interface makes adjusting aperture, shutter speed, and ISO fast and responsive.
Depending on the supported camera, it can control features such as Record Trigger, White Balance, Shutter Speed, Shutter Angle, Aperture, ISO, Camera Overlays, Record Indicator, Touch to Focus, and more.

CalibrationThe Shinobi 7 RX monitor can be calibrated with Calibrite Display Pro HL/Plus HL probe, and using the Atomos Calibrator app, for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec. 709 monitoring.
Accurate monitoring ensures reliable results.Anamorphic De-SqueezeThe Shinobi 7 RX supports anamorphic de-squeeze, allowing you to comfortably view anamorphic footage with a squeeze of 2x, 1.8x, 1.79x, 1.65x, 1.6x, 1.5x, 1.33x, and 1.25x.
