Available on both iPhones and iPads running iOS 18.0, this release enables free camera monitoring along with tools and camera controls for select cameras. This unlocks a lot of functionality, much of which was previously available only on dedicated hardware monitors.

With a simple USB-C data cable (Lightning devices are supported via a Lightning-to-USB-C adapter), users can now transform their Apple devices into on-set monitors, all at no additional cost. The resolution, quality, and latency of the video image are determined by the camera’s output over USB-C.

Camera Control for Sony and Canon Mirrorless Models

The SEE app can control selected Sony and Canon mirrorless cameras. Users can adjust settings such as ISO, aperture, white balance, and shutter speed, as well as trigger recording on supported cameras.

Supported camera models:

  • Sony: A74, A7R4, FX30, A7C2, A9M3
  • Canon: R5, R6, R5 II, R6 II, R7, R8

Accsoon’s SeeMo devices turn iPhones and iPads into on-set monitors for cameras with HDMI or SDI outputs, enabling low latency, exceptional image quality, an enhanced set of monitoring tools, and support for both 4K and Full HD sources. The CineView and CineView Master 4K transmitters and receivers offer wireless monitoring up to 4K, with the SEE app supporting wired and wireless workflows on both iOS and Android. CineView M7 and M7 Pro monitors running a dedicated version of the SEE app has the most complete set of monitoring tools and can also control select cameras via USB-C while monitoring high-resolution HDMI or SDI feeds.

The new version of the SEE app will be released in September 2025 and will be showcased at IBC 2025, Booth 12.F57, September 12–15 in Amsterdam.
