Wise Advanced has announced a new line of SSDs called the Archive Desk Drive, ADD Series. These new drives are being targeted at professional video editors.
The USB4 ADD Series comes in capacities of 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB. They have claimed sustained write speeds of 2000 MB/s, and they are bus-powered.
The aluminum housing keeps the SSD working hard inside but consistently quiet outside, especially when completing large multi-TB data transfers. According to Wise, the drive will not slow down like a lot of common workflow SSDs.
Pricing & Availabilty
The Wise Archive Desk Drive will be available at the beginning of December 2025. I don’t currently have any information about pricing.
