Blazar Lens Remus-M 1.5x Anamorphic Lenses

REMUS Main

This one slipped under the radar, but Blazar Lens recently announced its new Remus-M 1.5x Anamorphic Lenses. The only difference between the Remus-M and the regular Remus is that the Remus-M comes in mirrorless mounts.

By offering them in a mirrorless mount, users no longer have to buy a PL adapter.

Key features

  • Full-Frame | T1.8/T2.0/T2.8 Max Aperture
  • 33, 50, 85, and 100mm Anamorphic Lenses
  • 1.5x Anamorphic Squeeze
  • 16-Blade Iris
  • Silver Lens Flares
  • 80mm Front Diameter
  • 77mm Filter Thread

Now, there is a slight catch, as the only native mirrorless mount the lenses come in is Sony-E; however, you can get Leica L or Canon RF user swappable mounts.

Unlike the regular Remus, at the moment, it only appears that you can get the Remus-M in the following focal lengths:

  • 33mm T1.8
  • 50mm T2.0
  • 85mm T2.8
  • 100mm T2.8

The Remus-M 1.5x Full-Frame Anamorphic lenses cover a 36 x 24mm image circle and allow you to capture 3:2 full-frame anamorphic de-squeezed images.

The cine-style design features include 0.8 MOD focus and aperture gears for use with pro follow focus systems, an 80mm front outside diameter, and a 77mm filter thread.
