Delivering the lighting quality that Profoto is known for, the L1600D has the advantages and conveniences of a powerful continuous light source. Intended for use in high-end video productions, this 1600W point-source LED fixture will give you accurate colors and, most importantly, exceptional flicker-free brightness at any frame rate. A unique, patent-pending HydroCTech cooling system handles heat from the LED and its power electronics, ensuring longevity and silent operation. Profoto thought about every aspect of this light to present it as the compact yet powerful LED solution that studios have been waiting for.
The L1600D is the first light in the Profoto all-new Mono-LED category. According to the company, 97% of its electric input creates light output, which is at least 20% more efficient if compared to similar fixtures with an individual ballast and light head. You might think that 25.8 lb is a lot of weight for a significantly compact light, but when you remember that it doesn’t require a ballast and how much light you’ll get from it, the weight is justifiable. The L1600D outputs up to 3850 lux with its built-in 60° wide reflector, expanding to an impressive 49,000 lux using the included 12° boost reflector, both within a considerable distance of 16.4′. By expanding the L1600D’s output, the boost reflector offers 10x increased brightness for a long throw of light.
