At IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, Z CAM was showing EzPlay, a dual-track operation, simultaneous live streaming, and replay solution.
Essentially, it is a small high-speed buffer module that clips on the back of any Z CAM E2 camera, so that slow-motion footage can be replayed directly from the camera via an OB truck or small switcher.
It allows a Z CAM E2 camera to simultaneously stream and send out slow-motion footage via two separate SDI connectors. From 1-10 seconds can be used from the continuous buffer recording.

Key features
- Compact modular design
- Cost efficient
- Camera SDI for live streaming
- EzPlay SDI for slow motion replay
- Operate by open API
You attach Z CAM EzPlay to Z CAM E2 series cameras equipped with a V-mount plate (such as Z CAM E2 Mark II series) with a V-mount plate. It needs to be independently powered via a 12V power supply (2-pin Lemo socket). You can use the auxiliary power output port (AUX) of the Z CAM E2 series camera to supply power to Z CAM EzPlay.
It works by connecting the Ethernet port of the Z CAM E2 series camera to the Ethernet port of Z CAM EzPlay with an Ethernet cable to establish a data transmission channel between devices. You connect the other Ethernet port of Z CAM EzPlay to a gigabit switch or router via an Ethernet cable to access the local area network.
By connecting the HDMI/SDI port of the Z CAM E2 series camera to a live
streaming device, such as a video switcher or encoder, you establish an
uninterrupted live streaming channel. You would then connect the 3G-SDI port of Z CAM EzPlay to a video switcher or monitor to establish a transmission channel for the playback.
The Z CAM EzPlay system is currently being used by the English Premier League.
Traditional live broadcast high-speed replay systems have been very expensive, but the Z CAM EzPlay offers a much more affordable solution.
Price & Availability
The Z CAM EzPlay retails for $3,000 USD, and it is now available to purchase.
