Martini Digital Storyboard Platform First Look at IBC 2025

At IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, we came across a new company called Martini. Martini turns your storyboards digital and keeps them synced across every device. Anyone can follow what’s being shot and what’s up next, schedule shots, tag and filter frames, and even attach reference images or proxies to instantly replay recently captured clips. There are no more reprints when boards or schedules change; everyone on set stays in sync.

Martini is designed for everyone on set: directors, ADs, producers, clients, and crew. Anyone who needs to follow along. Martini runs in any web browser, making it versatile across phones, tablets, laptops, TVs, or any device with internet access.

So the idea here is that you upload all of your boards, lines, and descriptions into the system, and then you can build yourself a storyboard. And then, as you go through the day, all your shots are here, you can mark them off, and between multiple devices, screens, phones, anywhere you want to connect, everyone is in sync.

You can see where you are, what shot you’re on, and what’s coming up next.

Martini keeps everyone aligned in real time and updates appear instantly across all connected devices, with no refresh or reprint required.

With Martini, you can edit and reorder boards on the spot, and every update appears instantly across all devices.

Martin has built in a feature so that when you are shooting, an app running on a computer will automatically recognize when your camera is recording, and the moment you cut, it’ll take those clips and it’ll drop them into what they call their media bin. This allows for video playback without the need for video village. Now, to do this, you would need to have a camera connected to a computer.

At the moment, you need to take your existing storyboards and use them on the platform to schedule and organize. But Martni is looking into and exploring the ways that they can help you, as a creative, to create your own storyboards.

Martini is also exploring possibilities of how they can allow storyboard artists to potentially market their services, and you, as a creative, to go and shop around and choose who you want to create your board, and what best matches your style.

Pricing & Availability

At the moment, the pricing model is $50 USD per shoot. So that shoot could be two weeks long, it could be two days, it’s still $50 USD.

You can go on the website, sign up for a project, and for $50 USD, you get full access to the whole system across any iPad or any system like that. The screens are either rental or purchase, but you don’t need them to use the system.

Martini has made it so that you’re not dependent on hardware. You can use it on any device, any TV, laptop, or anything you want.

The company has also built Martini Touch, a 32” 4K touchscreen designed specifically for film sets. It’s Wi-Fi ready, C-stand mountable, gold-mount powered, and select models even come with built-in 5G. To rent a Martini Touch, please reach out to [email protected]
