At IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, Godox was showing its brand new KNOWLED MG4K and MG4KR, which are compact, high-efficiency lights that are claimed to outperform traditional 4K HMI units while using just half the power.
At only 10kg (lighthead), it delivers ultra-bright, even illumination with a 63mm light-emitting surface acting as a near point-source for optimized brightness.

When paired with a 15° reflector, it can produce up to 36.7x higher illuminance than its native output when used open face. It also offers precise color control (2,800–10,000K, ±100% Green/Magenta) and works with the G-Mount accessory system.
The MG4K weighs 10kg without the yoke and 12.5kg with the yoke, making it easier to rig, move, and position on set. Its compact size allows operation by a single person while providing high-intensity output suitable for large-scale productions.
The MG4K is claimed to deliver the highest efficiency (110lm/W) and brightness in its power class. With the Advanced Blending Architecture, the MG4K delivers minimal energy loss and eliminates heat buildup, ensuring consistent, reliable use.
The MG4K operates at 2,000W to deliver light output comparable to a traditional 4K HMI, which normally requires 4,000W. By reducing power consumption by half, the MG4K improves energy efficiency and lowers overall environmental impact, while still maintaining high output levels.
The built-in power limit function enables safe operation on standard outlets or generators, ensuring stable performance across different shooting environments.
The unit supports 0.1% dimming, precise brightness adjustment, and accurate color reproduction.
The MG4K features an advanced cooling system that improves heat dissipation by 67%, maintaining stable performance during extended shoots. This ensures consistent light output and extends the operational lifespan of the unit.
